This is a very traditional wood stain colour for timber barns and cabins throughout the countryside. It is a strong and solid black that can also be used to give a bold modern look. This Ebony wood stain could be used to effectively bring together the industrial past with designs of today such as Derek Jarman's interpretation of a beach house in Dungeness. This wood stain can look good on everything; garden structures, planters and furniture.
 
It is pet and plant friendly, very easy to apply and cleans up with water.

Coverage: 1 Litre will cover 8-12m² per coat
Advice: 2 coats are recommended with further coats increasing the solidity of the colour. Wood Stain + Protect is a wood stain coating so will wear off over time. If applying Wood Stain + Protect to a garden building that will be subjected to high levels of exposure to weather, it is recommended that you apply Protek Clear Tough Coat as a top coat.
This is a protective water-repellent coating. If your timber isn't treated with a preservative then depending on the type of wood and product, you may want to use our Wood Preserver ++ first.
For light colours, we recommend using our Stain Blocking Primer to prevent the top coat discolouring from possible tannin bleed.
